AMEC Oil & Gas are looking for a Lead Planning Engineer (contract) to join our Greenfield operations business in Qidong (China). The successful individual will be responsible for the overall planning, development and monitoring of the engineering integrated project schedules and reporting processes for this project, as well as integrating a Level 3 P6 schedule. The role also requires leadership abilities, strong client facing/management capabilities. Furthermore the individual will also be required to discuss/coordinate the AMEC in-country workforce. · Set up and maintain effectively a project planning and progress control system in order to support the Project Manager's decision-making process to complete the project according to and in compliance with the contractual dates and requirements. i `>X5Da5
· Ensure any deviation from the plan is promptly spotted and analysed, final time impact is estimated and the effect of corrective actions taken is monitored. Create a schedule awareness atmosphere among all project participants. 4 iLU "~
· Development of planning packages to include detailed schedules to suit the phase of the project ^ mum5j
· Continual review and development of procedures and common support processes resulting in improved business effectiveness lTB!yF.r|
· Ensure the requisite quality of data is maintained oX}n"5o :
· Develop and ensure compliance with the work breakdown structure and coding ^z^>]Qd
· Oversee the planning element of the change control procedure Wl#^Eu\g1W
· Production of ‘what if’ scenarios and plans to suit both client and contractor requirements k_a'a)`$6
· Production of risk analysis data if required by the project ^J

· Mentoring and development of planning personnel, as required, raising their competence, awareness, knowledge and techniques required in the execution of planning functions }-L@AC/\#
· To read, understand and implement the Company Safety Policy and the arrangements described in the Company and area Safety Management System documents in relation to the Planning function. e

· Attend engineering discipline progress meeting or other related meeting Nb#7&_f=
· Ensure that the projects planning and scheduling requirements are properly and clearly communicated to those functionally responsible for executing the schedule vUK>4^{J5
· Ensure that the Planning and Progress Control procedures are complied with by effective monitoring of progress measurement forecast, completion, deviations and changes to the baseline schedule ' i(p@m<'
· Compile and review progress reports and advise deviations, trends, mitigating actions, risks and opportunities to the Project Management od}x7RI%m
· To promote good working relations with the project staff and client Q$vr`yV#=6
· Ensure efficient interfaces with Project Control functions and maintain good communications with these departments. ,xz^ k/.

· Ability to develop and manage the detailed project schedules, requiring excellent multi-discipline knowledge 5tU"|10m3
